I'm just a regular person. Sure in my own circle I may be more "known" that in others. Not everyone can have legions of fans, followers, or friends. And I figure most people would consider themselves regular folks too. So when I think about what I can do, in my small circle, to make a difference in this world, my brain thinks small. I can recycle (I usually don't), I can serve my community, I can host a shoe cutting party. But I am humbled by seeing people who open themselves up to be used to change lives outside their own. I'm honored that my sister and bro-in-law are two of those people.
After a trip with their church to Nicaragua, their hearts were moved to do something. And they didn't just talk about it. They did something. Paper Hope.
Check out the video of their story on their website or here on YouTube.
This will be the third Mother's Day they have crazy beautiful cards for you to give the important ladies in your life. But it's not just a card. It's a chance to show women in Nicaragua a way out of prostitution and human trafficking. They not only show them love but also teaches them Jesus. Because we can feed and clothe the world. But all those things are fleeting. The only thing that can truly change lives is our Savior. What better way to make a difference than to change a life by showing them the way to new life. Really there is no greater gift anyone can receive. And I'm thankful that buy buying these cards, I'm making a difference. An eternal one.
I mean aren't these things beautiful? The first image is the newest card in their collection…..
Mom's love chocolate. Flowers. Hugs. But putting your $20 worth of flowers and candy towards a Paper Hope card will touch your mom in a way that no other gift can.
You can pick up a card locally at Bloom by Doyle's or The White Hart Cafe. Or check out their store online. Follow them on twitter @givepaperhope. Tell your friends. Share this post. Let's make a difference together. Hey - if "What Does a Fox Say" can go viral worldwide, can't Paper Hope?
And get excited….a year round line of cards is in the works! Why limit showing love to our family and to our neighbors worldwide to just Mother's Day? Together we can change this world. We just have to start somewhere - why not with a card?
