Well it happened. I skipped a day in the #write31days challenge for the first time in four years. But I'm 100% ok with being a failure. I was unexpectedly Internet-less this weekend due to no cell-service during a family gathering in Pennsylvania. Let's just say this weekend confirmed my need to live in civilization and at least a few miles away from farm land & in proximity to DSL service. And Target. Definitely Target.
The good news is, I only had 30 shops lined up so far for the series, so no one is getting skipped! Today I'm featuring the Humbled Hearts Daybook from HazelBerry Design. My blogging BFF Cynthia got one of these as a gift and recommend that I check out the shop.
The daybook is a 6 month long journal to use to document prayers and so much more. There are a number of sections and topics in each booklet. Pictured below is the 'Humble Focus' section, which corresponds to each months Bible verse. There are numerous verses listed that are relevant to the topic, with space to reflect.
I think what I like best about the concept of these journals is that they are intentional about prompting us to self-reflect about areas of our lives we sometimes glaze over, in a concise way that everyone could find time for. My favorite on this page is the 'Joy Stealers' section. I'm pretty sure I'm more likely to suppress those, when really awareness is more likely to make me successful.
There's space to journal or document scriptures that have been meaningful during the month....
....and space to document prayer requests. I've never been one to write down my requests, but I love hearing stories of others where they look back at their journals & prayers to see how clearly God answered them, just maybe not in the timing they anticipated. This format is so easy to keep them clear to look back at in years to come.
The Humbled Hearts Daybook journal is small enough to stack with your Bible or carry in your bag. I love the blue polka dot cover design, but there are a few designs in the shop.
You can read more details about the daybook over at HazelBerry Designs website at this link. She does offer a discount when buying multiple journals (3-9 journals use JOURNAL1 to drop the price to $14 each, or JOURNAL2 if you are buying 10-20).
