When I first met my now husband, I was rather quickly informed that he wasn't a card guy. As in he didn't see the point, but I have slowly taught him the benefit of a kind, written word. So rather than sticking to the normal paper cards, I am always on the lookout for unique options when it comes to cards. Sure texts & emails are great, but the romantic in me says my great-grandkids need to be able to discover a few notes & letters stowed away in the back of an old piece of furniture in 60 years. (I've watched a few too many Hallmark movies, as you can probably guess). So let's just say I've got multiple motives behind sharing todays shop.
Today's feature, Oinge Shop, offers super cute ways to tell someone important that you care. My favorite of all is this 'Love is in the Air' paper airplane. Perfect for an anniversary, Valentine's Day, or just because it's Tuesday.
All I can think of is the time my younger sister wrote a note on a hotel notepad, folded it (as you did in the 80's), and tossed it over to the next bed while yelling out "Air Mail". Clearly I need to download this to send to her!
I love that you can print these designs at home & easy instructions are provided to fold them into elaborate designs. This one for mom's is a total winner in my book. *hint hint*
If your kids aren't into the typical character filled Valentines that fill the box stores every year, these paper folded ones are just the ticket! These would be so easy for the kiddos to personalize with their favorite sticker or markers to make them their own.
And what more can you really ask for than a winking gnome on your birthday? I mean really.
If someone takes the time to send me a written note in these days where social media so easily overtakes the role of penmanship - they earn a gold star in my book. If they add in extra time to fold it just perfectly, then that my friend, is a sign of a keeper. Be sure to check out Oinge Shop on Etsy for these & other fun printable card options. For the same cost (or less) than what you'd buy at a local store & with a pair of scissors and a little time, you too can DIY your own memorable cards & help support another creative!
