The Artful Sojourn - Best of Etsy 2016

For my birthday this year my sister gave me a beautiful pair of gemstone earrings from The Artful Sojourn.  Of course, I'm now realizing I don't have a picture of me wearing them - so just trust me that they are swoon worthy.

The Artful Sojourn is a local artist that designs & makes boho style jewelry pieces that have a dual purpose.  She donates 20% of the profit from every purchase to Big World Project to help women & orphans in India.  Not only can you pick up a statement piece, but you can make a difference in lives across the globe.  If that's not a win-win, I don't know what is.

How cute are these state bracelets?  (There are necklaces too if thats your jam).

These copper bar necklaces can be stamped with a word, name, or initials that you choose.  Even better is that she makes them from recycled copper wire!

My absolute favorite item in her shop right now are these hammered petal earrings.  I'm not a fan of heavy earrings so I usually end up with studs - otherwise I feel like my ears stretch beyond recognition more resembling that of an elephant.  But these have so much dimension and are lightweight, I can't help but drool over them & think they are the solution to my big earring dilemma.  The picture of her model wearing them sold me.

So cute right??

The Best of Etsy 2016 - A #write31days Series

I've debated for months whether or not I would participate in #write31days this year, but then I realized I had done it 3 years in a row.  So why stop a good thing right? If taking the challenge FOUR years in a row isn't a sign of a serious blogger, I don't know what is - and honestly I need to remind myself that my voice is important.

So I'm back with my newest favorite Etsy finds from the last year helping to celebrate other creatives in an effort to support community over competition!

Some shops are local, others are overseas.  Some I have bought from and others are on my own Christmas list.  There's definitely something for everyone in this year's lineup!

New this year, I'm including a few shop updates from previous years' "Best of Etsy" series for things I've tested out or bought since originally writing about them.

Here are links if you want to check out previous years #write31days posts in your spare time: (Best of Etsy 2015) (Best of Etsy 2014) (31 Days of London & Paris 2013)

Bookmark this page to keep up with all of this years shop features - I'll update this page daily throughout the month with the link to each days post.  If you get email notifications of new posts please don't hate that I'll be helping to clutter up your inbox daily for the next month (I'm not the only one with over 1000 unread emails right???).  Wait - you don't get email updates for new posts?  By George, there is a simple solution for that!  Sign up on the top right hand side of the page & we can fix that in a jiffy.

I am so beyond excited & thankful to have you, both new & old friends, join me this month in the biggest of all online shopping adventures!

* Disclaimer: I have included some shops based outside of the US which can always be tricky with shipping timelines and such.  I'll do my best to give you a heads up in the posts for those shops so you aren't caught off guard!

Kelsey Davis Designs - Best of Etsy 2015

Let me say up front - I AM NOT PLANNING ANOTHER NURSERY.  Now that we got that cleared up, I'm stoked to share what I think should be taking up prime wall real estate in baby nurseries across the globe.

Plush taxidermy.  That's right.  I had no clue it existed either, but wait until you see these things for yourself!

Kelsey Davis Designs handcrafts the cutest wall animal wall hangings I have ever seen.

I'm not one to want a deer head on my wall, but this one would be the perfect focal point in a little ones room.  I could actually see this in my own living room in a less pinky fabric.  But it's totes adorbs (I can't believe I just typed that.......)
