It is well known in my family, that if my life were to have a tagline, it would be "Don't Stop Singing & Dancing". This past summer I drank the Kool-Aid and bought the Hamilton soundtrack. Some of my favorite writers & podcasters had me so intrigued I knew I wasn't going to be satisfied until I had heard it for myself.
History. Love stories. Back beats. I was sold halfway through the first song. I'm a sucker for a good musical, but this is just different. Clearly the music is far from anything like the likes of Rogers & Hammerstein, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sondheim, and Gershwin. But the lyrics are so poignant, and frankly the rhythms are catchy. I may or may not car dance on my way home from work on a regular basis - don't mind the baby seats in the back seat. #momlife
Today's featured shop is The Casey Barber Shop & they feature greeting cards & prints that feature some of the best lines from the play to suit many an occasion.
Some of the sweetest (& most tongue-in-cheek) lines from the play are sold as a pack of blank postcards, perfect for any long distance loves. As long as you both are of the musical persuasion that is. I'm pretty sure my better half would give me the stink eye if I were to send him one of these.
Anniversary time? There's a card for that.
Graduation time? They've got that covered too.
There's something for every Hamilton fan over at The Casey Barber Shop - be sure to check out all their other watercolor prints & cards!
