I first found The Funky Junk Shop on Instagram. I found her via a friend & became addicted to waiting for pics of her next furniture makeover. I even went to a pop-up sale on her driveway & came home with a few goodies. Lucky for us, she opened an Etsy shop just in time to close out our series! So today I'm excited to share a local goodie that is expanding her reach around the globe.
I love the tassel necklaces and this green/yellow combo is my favorite. They come as a 2 necklace set. The second necklace in each set comes with a phrase or monogram. There are a few different phrases listed in the shop, but I've seen some others in her local store - I picked up one a few weeks back that says 'Be Still & Know'.
Since the necklaces are separate and the tassels can be moved around, there are so many possible ways to wear this - it would be a great complement to most any outfit.
Check out all the color choices you can choose from - these combinations make me happy!
I grabbed a few of her prints before I headed off to the Allume conference earlier this month to give to my friends & roommates as a sweet thank you for sharing the weekend with me.
It's important to me to make sure that you know that 100% (yes, ONE HUNDRED) of the proceeds from her Etsy shop sales go to support The Creative Cause fundraiser, which helps build sports courts & provide sports equipment for an orphanage in India. Her products are great, but so is her heart! I've seen shops that give some portions of proceeds to a cause, but this blows them all away.
Keep your eye out for other products to make their way into the shop - I adore her wood signs as well. You can follow her on Instagram @funkyjunkshop to see new releases and her beautiful work.
Now, local folks - if you haven't been to the White Brick House in Forest, VA. Run. Quick. There are a number of vendors that set up in this historic home, including The Funky Junk Shop.
These Anthropologiesque knobs were brought from India & are a super easy way to update any piece of furniture in a pinch.
Here's a little peek into her room in the shop as a tease. So run down to the shop as soon as you can and see for yourself the full expanse of goodies in her shop! I mean if that rug doesn't draw you I don't know what will.
I hope you check out the Etsy site for The Funky Junk Shop - she's adding new things to the shop weekly! Ok folks - only 2 shops to go ..... so happy you've stuck with me through the series!
